Christof Defryn (University of Antwerp) Co-authors: Kenneth Sörensen Abstract: The increasingly popular concept of horizontal collaboration in logistics creates the need of an alternative approach that describes the collaborative context of the underlying vehicle routing problems. Three subproblems are identified by the authors: positioning and strategic behaviour of the individual partners with respect to the group, the solving of the vehicle routing problem and gain sharing. Omitting one of these aspects, or neglecting the existing interdependencies will result in an incomplete solution representation of the collaborative environment. The behaviour of two cost allocation approaches (Shapley Value and a problem specific weighted allocation) were studied for different scenarios of the selective vehicle routing problem (also called team orienteering problem).
