Postdoc position in Operations Research at KU Leuven - Decision Diagrams for Combinatorial Optimization

We invite applications for a full-time postdoctoral researcher in OR, starting in or around October 2026, based in Leuven, Belgium. The successful candidate will work closely with prof. Roel Leus on advancing the state of the art in decision diagram-based methods for combinatorial optimization, including the development of new theory, algorithms, and high-impact applications.

The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, and has a strong background in mathematical programming, combinatorial optimization, or algorithm design. Candidates should demonstrate a strong publication record or clear potential to publish in leading international journals, and evidence of research independence and creativity is highly valued. Experience with decision diagrams or related methodologies is considered an asset.
