PhD position in the field of Operations Research for warehouse optimisation

We currently have an open position for a full-time PhD researcher (doctoral scholarship holder) in the field of Operations Research for warehouse optimisation.

The position is embedded within the Antwerp Operations Research Group (ANT/OR), Department of Engineering Management at the Faculty of Business and Economics (University of Antwerp).

Warehouses play a crucial role in every supply chain; and they have never been busier. Yet most warehouse decisions today are reactive: wait for orders to arrive, then scramble to respond. By combining optimisation algorithms with demand forecasting, we aim to develop decision support tools that allow warehouses to act before problems occur. The goal? Warehouses that don't just keep up with incoming orders, but stay one step ahead of them.
