The research group Logistics of Hasselt University has a vacancy for a full-time PhD student.
The research group focuses on analysing and optimising problems of practical relevance concerning operations management, supply chain management and distribution logistics. Quantitative tools such as mathematical modelling, computer simulation and (meta)heuristics are used.
The research topic of the PhD position is situated in the domain of warehousing, and is part of a joint research project with the ANT/OR research group of the University of Antwerp. In this research project, the goal is to design efficient order picking systems for e-commerce warehouses.
