Specifically, the researcher will apply and develop machine learning and AI tools to develop a novel fair, ethical, and transparent pricing toolbox supported by a large industry partner.

The Data Analytics Lab is part of the cross-faculty Artificial Intelligence Lab at VUB. The Data Lab has been active in various research and development projects in collaboration with industry across different domains (causal machine learning, multi-task learning, demand forecasting, fraud detection), which involve developing data-driven solutions for optimizing decision-making. The lab has strong ties with research groups in Belgium and worldwide (e.g., KU Leuven, Harvard University, MIT, Humboldt University, Melbourne University). In collaboration with the AI Lab, the Data Lab is a founding member of the VUB AI Experience Centre (founded 2019) and the VUB-ULB AI for the Common Good Initiative FARI (founded 2020).
